I have been a mental health professional since 2006 and I strive to help people realize that “the grass is always greenest where you water it’-Unknown. I work with individuals and couples. My areas of special focus include grief, parent/adult child conflict, depression; anxiety, bi-polar, marital, self-esteem, academic, occupational, empty nest, personal coaching, and stress management.
I have been a college psychology professor having taught: Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Theories of Personalities, Developmental Psychology, Group Dynamics and Contemporary World Cultures.
I pull from an array therapeutic modalities but typically use Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Humanistic and Existential therapies as well as Psycho-Education.
I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University, a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University and a Doctorate of Education in Psychology from Argosy University.
I enjoy public speaking and my previous speaking engagements include: Keynote Speaker at the 29th Annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration, Guest Speaker for the 2015 Vines Foundation Health Academy, Professional Speaker at the 2015 UCR Black Health Expo, and Motivational Speaker for the 47th Annual San Bernardino Black History Super Expo.
In addition, I have a vision for a better future that can begin today. I am passionate about my beliefs and am skilled in sharing them with others. I am always willing to encourage others, empower those in need and lift up those that are down.
I firmly believe that we should always “Invest in the human soul. Who knows, it might be a diamond in the rough”.
